Summer in September

Alhambra
Fontaine patio de Lindaraja

The last days of Augustus were also very relaxed. The heat was enough, so I was very happy when the weather became a little bit more grey for a few days. Of course, I do not have to say that the sun came back again and since then it is full of heat. There is summer in September, and even ... This was the first time when I wore skirts in October on the street whitout tights : D

At the beginning it was quite difficult to get back, since after July I almost went to my Andalusian trip and maybe a little bit of all the stress came out. I was tired a bit but I didn't want sleep...  I honestly wanted to see a little bit my family and friends. But on the other hand I would stay ere more. I think my EVS will never ending even if I'm flying home on the 21st of October ... New doors, new opportunities ... :)

But instead of the great philosophical part, coming the pictures and short stories:

Come back dinner. After a great trip, it was good to be in Granada and meet with Didi. So an Albaicin walk could not be left. We went to El Higo. Super place.
Experience sharing evening :D

Outdoor movie night: on last day of August
At Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte.
And the film was fantastic: Bar Bahar

La voz concordante

I tried to pick up the words and wonder what exactly is about, but it was not easy : D
Then when one of the women asked us to explain our opinion how is it going in our country I just laughed to myself, but Dani helped ranslate :)
But it was very instructive that I was not really good in this field ... But how important it is to be informed at least a little bit more in this area also.

Next week, we repeated this program, only at another place, with two other men.
We also made the summary video with Didi. We need some time to finish and add the third event's videos, pictures.

La voz concordante II.

To take a lunch together could not miss.

EVS family again together. Tilda joined us later.
Bohemia Jazz Café

I finally met Elena :) : D
Although she has just come home, she went to the other part of the word , but we are always online mentor to each other. The distance doesn't mean.  WhatsApp is a nice app to keep in touch : D
 ♥

The youth center was not open so we chose the nearby D'etí Coffee and Cake that day :)

Cereal Planet - breakfast
We finally went here

I also eat a second one :D
How knows when we will come here again ...
We told us that we are going to come back here ... ahaam passed a month and we didn't go, so it was a nice idea o try an other one.

As I look back at the calendar, we had a "nice" conversation about the house with Julia. I do not want to detail it, but sometimes I didn't know to laugh or cry. Since then, we've also talked to Dani about this topic and we're trying to spend at rest this couple of weeks here .

To go a little away from home and take a breath we went to Realejo and we had a good dinner. Then walked near to the Alhambra, and came back.

Hospital Real

Biblioteca Hospital Real
In September, we stayed some afternoons in this beautiful library.
Unfortunately we can not use the wifi, because we are not students here ...
We also went to an other public library, where the air-condition was awful for me but I tried to work on my blogs and Youthpass
Finally, I chose Hospital Real and tried to do my tasks for which no internet was needed.

On September 8, we did "Harri's farewell party". As sounds so sad this word , it was such a joyful evening. Even my headache has passed. I was thinking to go home because of it but finally, I decided to stay. Good decision :D

First we took a tapa at Calle Elvira and then went to the Festival Zaidín Rock event. When Chambao was on the stage the auditorium was full ...

Chambao

On 10th was the deadline for TEDxYouth@Budapest application.
Why not to try something new... :D  Eventually they didn't choose me.
Of course I don't mind that I tried to apply.
We had a funny time together with Didi during we did the video. And when I was making the short video I just developed again my competences if I have already wrote about Youthpass: D

Sunday afternoon
Casa del Chapiz

We've been planning with Didi for a long time to visit Ronda.
In Hungarian 'ronda' means ugly. It is so funny because this place is one of the most beautiful places in Andalusia. :D
We went to Bla Bla Car. We did not find anything to come back, so we were looking for it in the afternoon ... Luckily, we found a Bla Bla Car to Malaga and from there we could come back by bus.

Ronda cake with ice cream

Gombapörkölt házi készítésű nokedlivel és salátával

Pörkölt: Hungarian meat stew resembling goulash. In this time I made it with champions instead of meat. We used also spinach
Nokedli: It is a kind of noodles from flour, eggs, salt, oil, water
Saláta: salat

Walk to Mirador de San Miguel Alto
I was here last time in March or April, when we did our gymkhana...
Special place, fantastic view

Later Didi, Tilda and Rihab joined

Calle Elvira - Bábel: tapaaas

After Tida and Rihab went home by bus,  we walked on the way to home. On Calle Elvira at the bar near our house, we heard singing, guitar music and clapping.
Flamenco party
I really liked it. I think they celebrated something but the songs and the all party was so spontaneous. We stopped a little and listened and after went home. But I finally decided to go back. We had to woke up early next day, but it was so close and I enjoyed it a lot.  If it's so close, I will not leave it ... It was a good decision again. :)

After the second event of La voz concordante, I took a walk to Plaza de las Pasiegas :)
And I found a wedding celebration :D

In the evening we enjoyed a 'Hungarian night' with Tilda.
In Acimut bar we ate sushi as tapa. We listened French and Spanish music, songs.

Again CHURROS... The best you can take from Churreria Alhambra at Plaza Bib-Rambla.

Albayzín walking - Alhambra

Pancake for dinner

With cheese :)

There were live music in Pata Palo.
At the first evening the concert was much better in our opinion. It was more familiar and we liked also the group.
On the second day we enjoyed it also, but was a different mood.

Then we met Carmen and talked a bit about our experiences, next weeks  :)

Buy olives :)

Jajajaaaaj

This picture... It shows that we had a really nice September with a lot of sunny days
Specially I took this picture when when I went to the dentist second time...
Since some days before I felt that something is wrong... Nadia helped me to find a dentist. Finally I went one afternoon with Didi to Láser 2000 clinic.
It was really funny actually. As I introduced myself in Spanish and why I am here... :D
They said then that I have 4 decayed tooth.... I was shocked...  Because my tooth were always nice, even I had already two decayed tooth what they treated before I came here... So it was, noooo, why, how?
So I get new appointment...
And after everything went well. I could menage it alone. There were funny moments, but at least I learned new Spanish words, did it myself and my tooth are again healthy
From one of my friends in Hungary who are going to be a dentist I asked some practical pointer, how to care about them more carefully... :)

Oh and fortunately I can use our perfect Cigna insurance. In the beginning seemed difficult how to the calming part but actually after I had every document from the doctor it was easy on the platform. I need to wait now and I hope I will get back the money.

Interesting experiences... :D

Asesoría - every friday

Granada metrooo
Started :D
Here actually we were waiting for Sara because we went by car to our event.

Foro Poliedrico  - Igualdad

I tried to catch the words...

Energizer after lunch

In the same day I walked around the Cathedral area.
Alcaicería

At the city hall. Dancing, smiling, party time. :) It was so joyful to watch them for a little time.

On that day they celebrated Fiesta Virgen de las Angustiast.

At Plaza del Campillo there were plenty of Granada products and, of course Torta de la Virgen.

I bought also one just without sugar.

I have never seen undried dates... So interesting this different appearance and taste.

Singing and fundraising for Mexico.

In the end I could see the procession, too.
Seems like Semana Santa but it is more cheerful.

I bought it also :D
But finally we went to Alhambra on 24 of September and visited the part where you can enter just with tickets.

I don't have to say how I loved it... I expected that I will like more the Generalife but actually my favorite was the palaces. :)  Since that time I was again on 15 of October on my last Sunday in Granada as an EVS volunteer.

Alcazaba

Not to destroy Alhambra, every pack should be afore

And Alhambra view from Paseo de los tristes

My best hotel...
In the picture you can not see but there were a hippy group near the river and they played really nice music

New volunteers Cheima and Meriem from Tunis arrived.
First we had a great lunch together.

By car on Calle Elviraaaaa :DD
Carmen, Cheima, Didi and me went to take a tapa in the evening

Perfect potatoes with alioli

El Higo :)

And in the end of the evening: Pata Palo

On of the afternoons we went to a free swing lesson.
On the way Tilda just said: Look Didi, your dress and the flowers... Perfect place for a perfect picture :D

End of the class. It was interesting and funny.

Sushi tapa at Potemkin.

On the last day of September, we didn't do the activity (it will be organized in on other day) and after some small tasks at home, I went to Alhambra. There were a lot of tourists, but this did not stop me to relax a little bit. At Carlos V I sat at least half an hour on a bench with closed eyes, in full relaxation.

Then I looked at the permanent and temporary exhibition.
They are free.
I liked both parts. The temporary exhibition I could see pictures about Alhambra. It was so interesting to see the differences between the older Alhambra and how is it nowadays.

On the way to go home. Nice things... but this time I didn't bring something home :D

Dinner. Aubergine (egg-plant/brinjaul/berenjena) with mozzarella, tomato sauce and ruccola on the top. Made by Didiiii :)

We went the last week of September to Mirador de San Nicolas to take some pictures about me wearing folk dress. This dress was wearing by my mother on their wedding after changed the white dress at midnight. So is so special for me also.

We took the pictures because of I sent the photos for a photo competition, which was organized by one of the professional dance ensemble in Hungary. It's named: Hungarian National Dance Ensemble. Didi did perfect pictures and I was so happy to be part of this 'event'. My picture didn't win, but I am not sad because of it. One of the men from our dance group won in one of the categories.

Here you can find the album, where is my picture also

Whit this YouTube link you will find a video about Hungarian National Dance Ensemble.

I am so proud of my younger sister (of course of my older sister also) because she became professional dancer in the other professional group which is named Hungarian State Folk Ensemble.

This two video made when they finished the special school to became professional folk dancer and had an evening when they showed what they learned in the last years. It was a ind of exam also.
The first one is based on folk dance but with modern elements. The second one is about more folklore.

I will put some links here, if you are interested in folk dance. About the other professional dance group, the non-professional dance group where my older sister danced and also videos about non-professional Somogy Dance Ensemble, where I dance and where my parents danced also.

Here you will find a video about this Hungarian State Folk Ensemble.
One video, where my older sister dancing.
One of the performances when Somogy Dance Ensemble celebrated 65th birthday.
You can see here a performance where my parents are dancing.

Somogy Dance Ensemble book
Book about 65 years :)

Best volunteer-mate and photographer, Didi :)

At Paseo de los tristes of course :))

And in the end our best experience from that week. The most funny and crazy thing from this month :D

After we did the pictures we went to eat kebab, and look what happened...
Of course we were really carefully and don't touch everything :))

Best kebab place in Granada!!!
